Dennis Radermacher was born and raised in Germany. Several trips to the land of the long white cloud made him fall in love with the country and its people. In 2010 he followed his heart and made New Zealand his new home.
Dennis founded Lightforge as a commercial photography business specializing in capturing the beauty of architecture. The Christchurch Rebuild is the laboratory that Dennis developed his photographic style in. Bold colours, striking contrasts and the never-ending hunt for perfect light are the ingredients that define his work. Capturing the essence of a space and how it connects to its environment drive Dennis to tell its story in pictures.
His clients include Warren & Mahoney, Jasmax, Mason & Wales, AA, AGM Publishing, Lifestyle Publishing, New Zealand Steel, Bivouac Outdoor, Aarn Packs and many others.
Dennis’ work has featured in many national publications including Houses, Architecture NZ, Interior, Wilderness Magazine, AA Directions, New Zealand Geographic and Style. He was awarded New Zealand Geographic Landscape Photographer of the Year in 2014 and is a proud Fujifilm X Ambassador. In 2015 Dennis developed a landscape photography workshop with Rob Dickinson. Hero Workshops is a great way to share his love for the New Zealand outdoors with photography enthusiasts.
When he puts aside his camera he enjoys planning his next mountain adventure while eating an unhealthy amount of chocolate cupcakes.
